Our store, Mothers and Daughters, is a darling little shoppe located in the Antique Village in old downtown Denham Springs, LA. We are real-life mothers and daughters - Earlene, Susan and Janet - and we have “shared the things we love with you” for over 14 years now. Our gift, home decor and accessories store is one of the “most favorite places to shop in the area.” Upon entering, you are immediately drawn into our creative world. Hand-painted signs and furniture and one-of-a-kind tassels, made from vintage salt and pepper shakers are scattered about the store. Inspiration abounds as you linger over the charming displays of so many lovely things knowing they would be perfect in your home too.
Lots of attention is paid to the details, because we know it’s the little touches that tell people they are thought of and loved. We believe inspiration is a gift from God – it keeps you going, keeps you excited and makes you try new things. And there are always new things!
Just say..."I saw it on the blog" and receive 20% off any item of your choice! Oh my, what will you use it on? So many wonderful choices.

Life Is Wonderful! Enjoy!
A young couple moved into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the wash outside. 'That laundry is not very clean,' she said 'She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.' Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: 'Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this. ' The husband said, 'I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.' And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
It doesn't matter what you look at.....It's what you see. Have a blessed day.
