Atlanta Market!!

Hello!!! We're at the Atlanta Market! This is the view from our room on the 24th floor! And by the way, did I tell you I hate heights?
Janet and I shopped for 6 days covering the market for all the newest and cutest things for fall and Christmas.

There are three buildings 20 stories high each at market. And we shopped on every one of them. This is the inside of the apparel mart. This is definately the time to wear comfy shoes!
"The Elf on the Shelf" coming to the shoppe. Be sure and come check this book out for your children this Christmas season. It is adorable!
Lots of new Christmas ceramics, tea pots, cocoas, teas and coffee coming up!

Glory Haus!! We love them. New hand-painted canvases, ceramic crosses and mugs. Old favorites that we have sold out of and new canvases are on their way.
It's going to be a vintage Christmas at Mothers and Daughters. Darling snowmen, santas, angels and trees all done up in red and green and black and white. Oooohhhh...we can't wait.

Our coffee lady! She's a sweetheart too!! All of our vendors are wonderful people and we love doing business with them. She's getting our Christmas coffee ready to ship!

And speaking of Santa....that's my name on the list!
And Janet found hers too!

And that's the REAL Santa!!! We have a new Chrismas CD for the kids coming from him.

We picked out tons of new fall and Christmas floral. Wreaths, garlands, sprays....can't wait to decorate with them!

This is our good friend from Lu-Ray Hankies. She sells the wonderful vintage hankies, tablecloths, pillowcases and napkins. Wait till you see her new things! She is a sweetheart!

And this is Ann and Gale from Apple Annie's in Brandon, MS. We always manage to find lots of time to EAT together. We love being with them - they've been great friends for lots of years.

New adorable gloves! Why not be cute while you clean?

Oh my. We sorta went crazy on the aprons!!! We probably ordered over 100! But they are so sweet and vintage and cute and darling and we just couldn't help it.....please come in soon and get your apron!

Isn't that the cutest thing ever? Not Janet, the frame!! We just have to get these for our shoppe windows!

Isn't that the cutest thing ever? Not the frame - Susan!!

Just the most wonderful bags and purses, wallets and jewelry will soon be on their way to the shoppe. We can't wait till it all comes in! Have I already said...we can't wait?
Taking the MARTA back to the airport. You just get on at market and it takes you all the way to the airport. Boy, we could use that around here!

Janet's Garden

Won't you come into my garden with me?
I want my flowers to see you.

I have so many lovely flowers, plants and bushes to look at, enjoy and take care of but right on the other side of our fence is a wonderfaul garden. It's full of tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, rosemary, mint and basil. I didn't even have to till the dirt, add soil, plant the plants, fertilize, water or stake - I did absolutely nothing and have fresh veggies and herbs everyday. What's my secret? Having a good neighbor who is retired, single and loves to garden and shares with us! Thank you Rick!

Geraniums and Lantana - Beautiful!

There are only two ways to live your life;
one is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is.
Albert Einstein
There is nothing as beautiful as God's wondrous creations. I see Him in every leaf, bud and flower and delight in the beauty He has given me. What a joy a garden brings.
The kiss of the sun for parden
The song of the birds for mirth -
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth!

Have a lovely day.......Janet.

Road Trip To Canton!

This is my good friend Ann. She has a precious shop in Brandon, MS that you must see if you are ever in the area. It's just full of wonderful things. Last week Ann and I went to the Canton Mississippi craft show and shopped for our stores. We came back with two car loads full! It was hot and crowded but we always have a good time together.

What do you mean you don't take credit cards?

Ann, go to the bank and get us some more cash!

Gotta have a T-Shirt!

After a long, hot day of shopping
what could be better than a good ole'
home-made burger and onion rings?

Nothin'. M-m-m-m-m-m-m-.

Happy Trails!

Making A Memory

When I'm not working at the store, cleaning up at the store, ordering new stuff for the store or
re-decorating the store, I love to scrapbook. I thought I would share with you a fun and easy collage I did of my grandmother. She was a wonderful person and I loved her so much and miss her everyday. I didn't have near enough time here on earth with her and can't wait to see her in heaven.

First, gather lots of your old photos and copy them on your computer. I never use the originals. You may harm them. I used a 16x20 canvas board and covered it with different pieces of scrapbook paper using Mod Podge. (Great stuff!)

Then lay your pictures on the paper covered canvas and arrange in a random order. When you are satisfied with the layout, coat the back of each picture with the Mod Podge and secure to the canvas. Be sure to smooth out the wrinkles - carefully. When it completely dries, most of the wrinkles will dissappear, but I did have a few remain. Bummer. Then coat the whole thing with more Mod Podge - even several coats will look better - be sure to let each coat dry completely.

Embellish with scrapbook stickers, ribbon, and flowers. Add ribbon to the sides with a glue gun. It's fun, creative and you will enjoy it for years to come. Warning! Everyone will want you to make them one. Better go get some more Mod Podge.

Thank you Meme for all the precious memories I have of you. You were indeed a woman of worth.
